Rescue officials claimed that throughout the previous 24 hours, rain and strong winds created multiple events throughout Punjab that resulted in at least two fatalities and eighteen injuries.
A representative for Rescue 1122 stated that numerous instances of roof and wall collapses were reported in various locations.
In two different occurrences, walls fell in Sahiwal, injuring a woman and a kid. In two different occurrences in Sargodha, roofs fell, killing a 55-year-old man named Umar Hayat and injuring four others.
In a similar vein, two roof collapse occurrences in Chiniot resulted in the death of 40-year-old Khalida and the injury of two other people. Heavy rain caused a house roof in Bhakkar to collapse, injuring one person.
Four people were hurt when a bus in Mianwali slipped and collided with a road divider during heavy rain. In the meantime, two roof collapse occurrences in Faisalabad resulted in three injuries.
Additional incidences were recorded in Hafizabad and Multan, when rainfall caused roofs to collapse, injuring one person each.
Rescue crews transported patients in critical condition to neighboring hospitals and gave injured people emergency medical attention.
In order to prevent more fatalities and property damage during severe weather, authorities have advised individuals to take preventative precautions.
