Ramadan begins in Saudi Arabia, the Gulf States, and Afghanistan.

In Afghanistan, the Gulf states, and Saudi Arabia, the holy month of Ramadan has begun, and Muslims are fasting for the first time today.

Last night, thousands of worshippers gathered to say the first Taraweeh prayers of the auspicious month at the Masjid al-Haram in Makkah and the Al-Masjid an-Nabawi in Madinah, creating spiritually inspiring scenes. Around the world, devotees prayed for forgiveness and peace and expressed gratitude for seeing Ramazan.

In the meantime, tomorrow marks the first fast observed in Iraq, Oman, Turkey, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Ramadan will start on Thursday in countries in Central Asia, including as Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. Tomorrow, it is anticipated that Bangladesh,Pakistan, India, Japan, Singapore, Australia, and France would also observe the first fast.
