Residents of run-down structures will be accommodated by the Sindh government: The Sharjeel

The Sindh government has made the decision to give occupants of buildings in Karachi that have been deemed unsafe or demolished safe housing. In order to guarantee that impacted residents have safe accommodation, the government has chosen to take action for the evacuation and demolition of hazardous buildings, according to Sharjeel Inam Memon, senior minister of Sindh for information, transport, and mass transit.
According to him, the government has decided to evacuate dangerous buildings right away. The ruling calls for the demolition of structures that have already been deserted and guarantees the rehabilitation of impacted residents.
Assistant Commissioners have surveyed 471 of the city’s 588 severely unsafe buildings, Memon continued. The government has made the decision to develop apartments for the impacted families and give priority to housing occupants of the 59 buildings that were evacuated.
He added that in order to identify hazardous buildings, similar inspections will be carried out in Hyderabad, Sukkur, and other provincial cities.
