Russia says it is prepared to help ease tensions in the region.

Russia has volunteered to mediate a regional peace agreement between Afghanistan, India, and Pakistan.
Speaking at a meeting of the Islamabad Institute of Strategic Studies, Russian Ambassador Albert Khorev volunteered to mediate a long-term peace in the area.
The security of the region is a major concern, particularly the situation in Afghanistan, which is a highly sensitive subject for Russia, according to Russian Ambassador Albert Khorev. Russia is prepared to contribute to easing the existing tensions with Pakistan’s two neighbors, Afghanistan and India, he continued.
Russian Ambassador Albert Khorev stated that Russia always supports regional peace, stability, and measures against terrorism, implying that outside forces are responsible for the increase of hostilities in South Asia.
He also emphasized that regional parties are the most effective means of resolving problems between adjacent nations. The Russian envoy described Pakistan as a significant partner, stating that Pakistan holds a prominent and crucial diplomatic and geographical position in the area.
Additionally, the Russian ambassador pledged to keep working with Pakistan on social and economic advancement.
It should be mentioned that this statement was made at a meeting between President Vladimir Putin and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar in Moscow, which is anticipated to lead to further thawing of ties between Pakistan and Russia.
