Sanaullah implores the opposition to participate in the political process.

Rana Sanaullah, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political and Public Affairs, stated on Monday that democracy is fortified via discussion rather than by confrontation and impasse.

In response to several concerns articulated by the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate, Raja Nasir Abbas, he implored the opposition to engage proactively in the political process to address national challenges and strengthen democratic institutions.

The incumbent government has constantly asked the opposition to engage in conversation to resolve issues. The government desires the opposition to have a constructive role in the democratic process, he stated.

He lamented the opposition’s unwillingness to engage in the political process, resulting in persistent impasses.

Concerning the supply of health facilities to the PTI founder, he stated that all entitled services were being rendered in compliance with the law. He stated that medical assistance was provided to the PTI founder in accordance with the directives of the Supreme Court.

A panel of medics examined the PTI founder in jail at the behest of the Supreme Court.

Concerning the legal actions against the PTI founder, he stated that the judiciary was the suitable venue and could provide redress in compliance with legal provisions.
