Sanaullah urges Pakistan’s senior leadership to develop trust.

On Thursday, Senator Rana Sanaullah, the Prime Minister’s adviser on political and public affairs, emphasized that fostering greater trust among the nation’s five main political figures may contribute to a good change in the country’s circumstances.

Rana Sanaullah stated on a private news channel that 2026 is anticipated to be a year of additional economic stability, much as 2025 offered positive news for the nation.

In response to criticism of social media, he said that accounts that advocate against governmental institutions have to be removed. He took issue with the PTI leadership’s assertion that they had no authority over or affiliation with these accounts.

He advised them to either shut down these social media accounts or limit their usage to political propaganda against politicians and opposition parties.

Additionally, Rana Sanaullah forecasted that the PTI’s appeal on February 8 would be unsuccessful. According to him, PTI would continue to lose ground and won’t be able to stop the system. They will regret it and face harsh consequences if they try to halt operations on February 8. He advised PTI to revoke its call for demonstration.

He reaffirmed the necessity for the five main leaders of the nation to take steps to foster trust. “The situation can move in a positive direction if these leaders engage in dialogue,” he stated.

The five figures were identified by Rana Sanaullah as PTI founder Imran Khan, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and another well-known individual. He emphasized that until efforts are made to build trust among these five leaders, no progress will be made.
