The schedule for the Pakistan vs. Bangladesh Test series was revealed.
The 2024–25 home international season will commence with Bangladesh participating in two Test matches at Rawalpindi (August 21–25) and Karachi (30 August–3 September).
The most recent Test match played by Bangladesh against Pakistan took place in February 2020.
“The Bangladesh Cricket Board Chief Executive, Nizam Uddin Chowdhury, expressed gratitude to the PCB for finalizing the schedule of Bangladesh’s tour of Pakistan for the ICC World Test Championship matches,” he stated.
“The series represents a substantial challenge for us, but it also provides an opportunity to demonstrate our advancements in this format,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Najmul Hossain Shanto, the captain of the Bangladesh men’s cricket team, expressed his anticipation for the ICC World Test Championship and their desire to return to Pakistan.
“Competing in Pakistan is consistently a demanding yet thrilling opportunity, and we must perform exceptionally well to contend against a formidable home team on their own turf,” stated Shanto.
