Sections of Punjab’s motorways are closed due to dense fog.

During the night between Friday and Saturday, dense fog once more engulfed Punjab’s plains, especially Lahore, immobilizing daily life and causing traffic jams.

Road traffic in a number of cities has been severely impacted by the dense fog. The motorways M2 from Thokar Niaz Baig to Lilla, M3 from Faizpur to Samundri, M4 from Sher Shah to Pindi Bhattian, M5 from Sher Shah to Zahir Pir, and M11 from Lahore to Sambrial have all been closed to all traffic, according to a motorway spokeswoman.

Additionally, because to excessive traffic, Motorway M5 from Zahir Pir to Rohri has been closed.

Drivers have been urged by the motorway police to travel on Grand Trunk (GT) Road. Additionally, they have advised vehicles to turn on fog lights and drive more slowly.

Additionally, the Motorway police have asked everyone to stay at home and refrain from needless travel. Due to poor visibility, dense fog has also caused traffic jams on the National Highway in a number of locations throughout the province.
