Seven jail employees were detained on suspicion of helping prisoners in Rawalakot escape.

Details reveal that all prisons in Azad Kashmir have been placed on high alert for security, and the superintendent of Rawalakot Jail as well as other staff members have been suspended due to incompetence.

In addition, a request has been made to the Azad Kashmir High Court to establish a judicial panel to look into the occurrence.

On June 20, the Azad Kashmir High Court issued an order for Ghazi Shahzad, an escaped prisoner, to be transferred to Mirpur.

Twenty prisoners broke out of Rawalakot District Jail yesterday after holding police officers hostage.

According to police officials, the convicts opened fire on officers, wounding one of the officers who was later taken into custody.

According to police, among the fugitive detainees are dangerous criminals. One prisoner was killed in a gunfight between police and inmates on the city’s outskirts.

The majority of the escaped inmates were either going to be executed or serving life sentences. The cops are attempting to apprehend the runaways and bring the neighborhood back under control.

A sizable detachment of police officers was stationed nearby, and they have provided a list of the escaped inmates.
