Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is receiving medical care at a hospital following the onset of chest trouble.

Hospital sources indicate that the former prime, residing in Islamabad, was sent to Al-Shifa Hospital due to cardiac discomfort.

Medical professionals confirmed that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi experienced a myocardial infarction, and examinations indicated two occluded arteries. Hospital officials reported the successful placement of two stents following a medical evaluation.

Abbasi continues to receive medical treatment, and physicians have assessed his health as stable.

Family sources said that he has been prescribed total rest, while his close companions and party officials have solicited prayers for his swift recovery.
