A significant advancement has occurred in the case involving a mother and daughter who perished after slipping into a sewer near Bhati Gate, as the defendants were presented before the court.

The court postponed its decision about the prosecution’s request for the physical remand of the accused.

Senior Judicial Magistrate Shafqat Abbas Maghiana conducted the hearing of the case.

The individuals appeared before the court included Project Manager Asghar Ali and Safety Incharge Muhammad Hanzala.

During the hearing, the defence lawyer notified the court that one crore rupees had been disbursed to the aggrieved family, asserting that under Section 322, the case solely concerns the payment of diyat.
