Significant welfare initiatives for police officers are announced by the interior minister.

Mohsin Naqvi, the federal interior minister, unveiled major welfare programs designed to enhance the wellbeing and professional growth of police officers nationwide.
The interior minister presided over a high-level meeting during his visit to the National Police Foundation (NPF) in Islamabad, where important choices were made to assist police officers at all levels. It was agreed that residential plots on easy conditions and inexpensive installments would be given annually to Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) who are training at the National Police Academy.
Ten inspectors, sub-inspectors, and assistant sub-inspectors from all around Pakistan will also be sent overseas each year on scholarships to take specialist courses linked to law enforcement. The National Police Foundation would pay for the education of the children of 15 constables who are accepted into prestigious Pakistani colleges, it was also announced at the conference.
In order to increase the police force’s ability to adjust to contemporary policing difficulties, Mohsin Naqvi announced that five officers of SP and SSP rank will be sent overseas on scholarships each year to pursue degrees in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The interior minister commended the management of the National Police Foundation for effectively enhancing its financial standing and instructed authorities to submit a thorough plan to augment the foundation’s assets and guarantee its long-term viability.
He underlined that the government’s top aim is still to make the National Police Foundation a vibrant and successful welfare organization for police officers.
