Six NA and seven Punjab Assembly seats will go up for by-election on Sunday.

The by-election campaigns for seven Punjab Assembly seats and six National Assembly seats concluded at midnight on Friday and Saturday. Sunday is the planned date for the polls.

Candidates who participate in political activities after the deadline risk legal repercussions, according to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). Election preparations have been finished by the Election Commission.

By-elections will be place in the following National Assembly constituencies: NA-18 Haripur, NA-129 Lahore, NA-143 Sargodha, NA-185 Dera Ghazi Khan, and two seats in Faisalabad (NA-104 and NA-96).

PP-203 Sahiwal and PP-269 Muzaffargarh, PP-73 Sargodha, PP-87 Mianwali, and three constituencies in Faisalabad—PP-15, PP-98, and PP-116—are among the seven Provincial Assembly constituencies.

In the meantime, the Pakistan Army’s deployment to guarantee security during the impending by-elections has been authorized by the federal government.

The announcement states that army troops will serve as a reserve force while stationed in the pertinent constituencies from November 22 to 24.
