Six terrorists killed in a gun fight with CTD in Mianwali

In a battle with a Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) team near Chapri Dam in Mianwali, six terrorists were killed by gunfire from their own comrades.

Based on intelligence reports, the tragedy happened during a CTD operation meant to apprehend the terrorists.

A spokeswoman stated as the operation was underway, the terrorists opened fire on the CTD team. In the ensuing exchange of gunfire, six of the terrorists were killed by friendly fire from their own colleagues. However, eight other extremists managed to depart the scene under the cover of darkness.

The CTD spokesperson also revealed that the operation led to the discovery of a suicide vest, three hand grenades, three SMGs, 200 rounds of ammo, and explosive materials.

The extremists who were killed are currently being identified by the authorities, while those who escaped are being apprehended. The terrorists had planned strikes on law enforcement and other security agencies, according to CTD officials.
