Slower activity on the PSX amid cautious trade

Due to investors’ apparent caution on the final days of the workweek, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) is seeing less trading activity on Friday.
The KSE-100 index peaked at 163,357.51 during intraday trade, while its lowest point of the day was 162,695.56.
The market index is currently at 162,861.75, down 75.18 points, or 0.05%, from the previous close of 162,936.93 points.
As the session goes on, it is anticipated that the market will change.
The benchmark KSE-100 index saw bullish momentum the day before, rising 710.66 points, or 0.44 percent, to close at 162,936.94 points from 162,226.28 points the day before.
In the ready market, 725.86 million shares worth Rs35.31 billion were traded, compared to 1,029.78 million shares worth Rs45.17 billion in the previous day. The market capitalization rose from Rs. 18.483 trillion to Rs. 18.585 trillion.
250 of the 476 active companies in the ready market closed higher, 187 saw a fall, and 39 saw no change.
