Tajikistan and Pakistan can contribute to regional peace: The President

Tajikistan is a bridge to the heart of Central Asia, and Pakistan is its door to international waterways, according to President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday. The two nations can play a major role in advancing peace and security in the region.
According to a news statement from the presidency, the president said these things while meeting with Colonel General Sabirzoda Emomali Abdulrahim, Tajikistan’s defense minister, at Aiwan-e-Sadr Islamabad.
The president greeted the team and expressed how much Pakistan cherishes its complex relationship with Tajikistan, which is rooted in shared history, culture, and language. Pakistan was among the first nations to establish diplomatic relations with Tajikistan in 1992. According to him, the two states should improve their interpersonal, cultural, and political ties.
President Zardari emphasized the enormous potential of bilateral investment and trade, particularly in the energy sector, and stated that this has to be further investigated. He went on to say that Pakistan is totally dedicated to finishing the flagship project CASA-1000 on schedule.
The president expressed delight with the growing defense cooperation between the two states, which is demonstrated by the regular visits between the two armed forces’ heads. According to him, the Dosti-II exercise’s successful execution is evidence of the two brotherly states’ longstanding defense connections.
Tajikistan is interested in expanding bilateral collaboration with Pakistan in a number of areas, according to the Tajik Defense Minister.
