Tarar expresses discontent with the opposition’s insubstantial opposition to the 27th Amendment.

On Wednesday, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar condemned the opposition’s purportedly “hollow” opposition to the 27th Amendment, emphasising that they had not even reviewed the measure.
Addressing the media outside Parliament House, he stated that generating commotion and constructing political narratives without examining the legislation is futile. He stated that rather than dismissing a thorough, clause-by-clause discussion, the opposition ought to have participated in a constructive debate.
Tarar lauded the Pakistan Army’s operation in Wana as a momentous accomplishment deserving of significant commendation. He declared that the Army had successfully extricated over 500 pupils, characterising the operation as one that will be globally commemorated and analysed in military colleges worldwide.
Tarar underscored that the action conveyed a definitive message to the enemy, highlighting that Pakistan had prevailed against an opponent four times its magnitude. He stated that the adversary was compelled to vacate its positions and retreat, emphasising that this proxy conflict presents no significant threat to Pakistan.
