Ten rooftops of government schools designated for Basant in Lahore’s Walled City

Preparations for the Basant holiday are underway, with the rooftops of ten government schools in the Walled City of Lahore designated for kite-flying activities.

The Lahore Education Authority has presented a report to the School Education Department delineating the chosen institutions. These comprise Government High Schools located at Bhaati Gate, Delhi Gate, Syed Mitha Bazaar, and Shah Alam Gate.

The list additionally comprises Government Victoria Girls High School, Takiya Sadhwan, Kabli Mill, and Chuna Mandi. Supervisory personnel at these institutions have been instructed to remain on duty continuously for three days during Basant.

The Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioners will conduct visits to the schools to assess the arrangements. In instances of inadequate management or neglect, the relevant leaders will be held accountable.
