The Ahsan Bhoon group dominates the Punjab elections for the Pakistan Bar Council.

The Ahsan Bhoon group achieved a convincing victory over the Hamid Khan group in the Pakistan Bar Council elections in Punjab.
The Ahsan Bhoon group secured 8 out of 11 seats, but the Hamid Khan group obtained only 2 seats. The outcome of the 11th seat in Punjab remains unresolved.
Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar and Ahsan Bhoon expressed gratitude to lawyers for their assistance, deeming the result a success for the constitution, rule of law, and democracy.
Twenty-five candidates competed for the eleven Punjab seats, with seventy-five members of the Punjab Bar Council participating in the voting process. Unofficial results indicate that the Bhoon group obtained 8 seats, while the Hamid Khan group acquired 2.
The elected members from the Bhoon group are Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar, group leader Bhoon, Tahir Nasrullah Waraich, Amir Saeed Raan, Pir Masood Chishti, Saqib Akram Gondal, Hafeez-ur-Rehman Chaudhry, and Syed Qalb-e-Hassan.
The chosen representatives of the Hamid Khan faction are Salman Akram Raja and Shafqat Mehmood Chauhan. Salman Akram Raja asserted that their pursuit of judicial independence will persist.
The conclusive outcome for the 11th Punjab seat will be revealed on December 22.
