The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa mandates an immediate investigation into the removal of children from Zamung Kor.

Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Afridi, has mandated an immediate investigation into the expulsion of 11 children from Zamung Kor, a charitable institution for orphaned and disadvantaged youth.

The chief minister has mandated an investigation into the provision of hygiene kits to youngsters at Zamung Kor. He mandated the installation of surveillance cameras in the classrooms of the Zamung Kor Model Institute and directed authorities to guarantee the prompt deployment of necessary teaching personnel.

Chief Minister Afridi announced the creation of a complaint cell for children to address their issues and instructed that the provincial government will cover the educational expenses of Zamung Kor students attending private colleges. He also directed officials to designate a specific quota for Zamung Kor students inside the ETEA merit scholarship program.

The chief minister mandated the digitalization of Zamung Kor’s accounting system and the stipend distribution process to guarantee transparency. He also sanctioned the provision of transportation services for pupils commuting to colleges and sports academies.

During his visit, CM Afridi evaluated several areas of the Zamung Kor Model Institute, assessed the quality of the food provided, and toured the girls’ campus to ensure adherence to directives from his prior visit.

Sohail Afridi underscored the government’s obligation, asserting that the care of orphaned and vulnerable children constitutes a constitutional, moral, and humanitarian responsibility. He stated that the Zamung Kor institutions were founded under Imran Khan’s Ehsaas vision and should be operated in accordance with their intended purpose, asserting that he would personally oversee all associated concerns.
