The duration of Raoof Hasan’s physical remand

Following the end of his two-day physical remand, Hasan was brought before the court. The PTI leader was being physically remanded by the FIA prosecutor during the hearing.

The court then ordered Raoof Hasan to be placed under a three-day remand and turned over to the FIA.

Raoof Hasan, the information secretary, and Barrister Gohar Khan, the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), were taken into custody by Islamabad Police on July 22 in the nation’s capital.



Sector G-8’s party secretariat is where the arrests took place.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretariat was raided by a law enforcement agency on the basis of tangible evidence, the Islamabad police claimed. The police claimed that through its digital media centre, the PTI Secretariat had been functioning as the central hub of a global disinformation network.

Information from a global social media activist connected to PTI was used to conduct the raid.

PTI central office computers and records that were taken by Islamabad police during the raid are currently being examined as part of the ongoing inquiry.
