The first digital healthcare facility in Karachi was opened.

A significant step toward upgrading the nation’s healthcare system was taken when Federal Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal opened Karachi’s first digital healthcare facility.

The Federal Government Dispensary in Civil Aviation Colony is home to the digitalized healthcare center, which is a component of the Federal Healthcare Digitalization Program. On this occasion, a formal inauguration ceremony was organized.

The digitalized healthcare center is an essential component of a contemporary healthcare system, according to Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal, who spoke at the event. He underlined that the goal of healthcare is not just to treat patients but also to keep people from being sick in the first place.

He clarified that timely vaccination, access to clean drinking water, and appropriate birth spacing are the first steps in preventative healthcare. According to the minister, these actions are essential for enhancing public health and lowering the burden of sickness.

Mustafa Kamal added that the dispensary will be run by the federal government and that, despite its spaciousness, the facility had been abandoned for a long time. He went on to say that there are four other comparable sites under government control that may be used for public welfare initiatives.

He declared that as part of initiatives to increase access to healthcare through digital technology, telemedicine services are being introduced from this region.

The federal health minister added that a significant healthcare initiative that will deliver free medications to cancer patients was inked in Islamabad the day before. He disclosed that the project has already provided treatment for 745 cancer patients in Islamabad.
