The government encounters criticism following the minister’s statement that the new plane is intended for Air Punjab.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, together with Information Minister Azma Bokhari, has stated that the plane is intended for a fleet being established for Air Punjab.

Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari announced that a fleet is being established for Air Punjab, with this aircraft being a component of that initiative. The public would be notified once the arrangements are finalized.

The aircraft has not yet been registered in Pakistan. Social media users vehemently condemned the acquisition of the aircraft.

They believe that public funds should be allocated for the benefit of individuals. Acquiring a luxury aircraft from the national fund is inappropriate.

Sources indicate that the Gulfstream G500 aircraft is valued at roughly Rs10 billion. The aircraft’s registration number is reported to be N144S. The airplane is presently registered in the United States.

Punjab Airlines is set to commence its inaugural flight in April, having bought seven aircraft in the initial phase.
