Details state that eight passengers were injured when a fire started in the van when it was filling up with gas at a CNG filling station close to Hyderabad Bypass. The van was traveling from Karachi to Hyderabad.
After receiving information, police and emergency personnel arrived at the scene and put out the fire. Police claim that the van’s gas cylinder also exploded as a result of the fire.
The injured have been moved to Hyderabad’s Civil Hospital by rescue crews. According to police sources, medics have determined that all other injured passengers are not in danger, but one passenger is in serious condition after sustaining 40% burns.
President Asif Ali Zardari reiterated that the Pakistani government is still dedicated to upholding and advancing human rights and would keep working to preserve everyone’s freedom, dignity, and self-worth.
“Every citizen of Pakistan is guaranteed freedom by the Constitution, regardless of caste, creed, or color,” the president declared in a statement on December 10th, International Human Rights Day.
The president stated that on this day, they reaffirmed their dedication to preserving justice, equality, and dignity for all people, regardless of their social standing, gender, ethnicity, religion, or language.
This day serves as a reminder of our commitment to advancing and defending everyone’s human rights. Human dignity, respect for others, and the freedom and equality of all persons are highly valued in our religion. In a press release, President Secretariat Press Wing cited the president as saying, “We recognize the need to focus on vulnerable and marginalized groups and are working to strengthen the legal, economic, and social frameworks needed to protect their rights.”
“We must foster a culture of respect, tolerance, and mutual dignity,” the president added, emphasizing that their actions must demonstrate their dedication. To fully participate in national life, we must empower our people, especially women, children, minorities, and people with disabilities.
