The governor of Sindh is urged by Mayor Karachi to avoid becoming involved in politics.

Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori was encouraged by Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab on Thursday to avoid becoming involved in politics, stressing that the Governor’s role is apolitical. Governor Tessori, a member of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), was chastised by Wahab for his political statements and actions. Wahab has emphasized that the governor should not represent any one political party because the role is constitutional and nonpartisan. According to Murtaza Wahab, Kamran Tessori should understand the constitution because the governor of Sindh is not authorized to make political remarks as a head of state.
