The IRGC’s claim of an attack on the USS Abraham Lincoln is denied by US Central Command.

On Sunday, U.S. Central Command refuted assertions made by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) regarding an attack on the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln.

The IRGC of Iran asserts that it has targeted the USS Abraham Lincoln with ballistic missiles. “LIE,” stated U.S. Central Command in a post on X.

The Lincoln persists in deploying aircraft to support CENTCOM’s unwavering fight to safeguard the American populace by neutralizing threats posed by the Iranian government, the statement further indicated.

The directive stated that Abraham Lincoln was not struck and that missiles launched by Iran did not approach closely.

Iranian official media previously reported that Iran executed a naval assault aimed at the U.S. Navy’s aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln, asserting that four ballistic missiles were launched at the ship.

The USS Abraham Lincoln is regarded as one of the most formidable vessels in the U.S. Navy.
