The name and photo of Justice Jahangiri were taken off from the IHC’s official website.

The Islamabad High Court’s (IHC) official website no longer features Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri’s name or portrait.

A new cause list and roster have also been released by the division bench of the Islamabad High Court. The court’s official website does not even contain Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri’s name among the list of previous judges.

A fresh seniority list of judges for the Islamabad High Court is also anticipated to be released shortly, according to sources. Only three days prior, Tariq Jahangiri had been added to special benches pertaining to financial organizations.

It is important to remember that the Islamabad High Court ruled that Justice Tariq Jahangiri was unable to serve as a judge when it announced its decision in the case involving the fraudulent degree. The court’s ruling states that Tariq Jahangiri’s appointment as a judge was unlawful since he lacked a valid LL.B. degree at the time of his appointment.

Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri was declared ineligible to serve as a judge by the court. The Ministry of Law was ordered to de-notify Justice Tariq Jahangiri as a judge by the Islamabad High Court.

Justice Tariq Jahangiri did not appear in court for the hearing; instead, the Registrar of Karachi University produced the entire original record pertaining to the degree.

Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri was banned for three years for threatening the examiner after being detected cheating during an exam, the Registrar of Karachi University told the court. He added that the accused utilized a fictitious enrollment form to appear in the LL.B. exams and altered his name and parentage at various points.

The registrar claims that the enrollment number was fraudulent and that the names Tariq Jahangiri son of Muhammad Akram in LL.B. Part I and Tariq Mehmood son of Qazi Muhammad Akram in Part II were used.
