The nation remembers the anniversary of Hazrat Ali’s death with profound religious devotion.

Across the country, people honour Ali ibn Abi Talib’s martyrdom day with deep religious devotion and respect. Processions are held in both big and small towns with strict security measures in place.
As a safety measure, several roads and streets in Karachi’s Saddar neighbourhood have been blocked off with barrels.
Before the big procession, there will be a gathering at Nishtar Park to mourn.
At Hussainia Iranian Imambargah, the center procession will come to an end.
When it got to Imambargah Colonel Maqbool in Rawalpindi, the center Youm-e-Ali procession was over.
In the same way, the procession in Peshawar finished at Imambargah Syed Alam Shah after going through Kochi Bazaar and then going back to the same place.
At the same time, Sindh Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar looked over the route of the procession and the security plans in Karachi. He told the officials to take extra safety precautions for the event.
The local home minister told the media that an investigation into what happened on February 28 is still going on and that it is too early to draw any conclusions at this point.
He also said that no one can be held responsible until the investigation is over. He said that the movement of police officers was just a matter of administration.
It’s important to remember that 11 people were killed in a shooting outside the US Consulate in Karachi on February 28.
As you may remember, Azma Bokhari, the Minister for Information and Culture for Punjab, said at a press conference on Monday that strict security plans had been made across Punjab for Youm-e-Shahadat Hazrat Ali (RA), with more than 30,000 police officers being sent to protect religious gatherings and processions.
