The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a flood and landslip alert in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
The alarm was issued by the NDMA spokesperson due to the anticipated occurrence of severe rainfall in several districts, including Charsadda, Chitral, Mansehra, Peshawar, Shangla, and Swat.
The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a cautionary statement regarding the possibility of flash flooding, landslides, and hill collapse in mountainous regions. These natural disasters pose a substantial risk to both human life and property.
The authorities has instructed emergency services to maintain vigilance and ensure the presence of essential equipment, apparatus, and rescue resources to handle any emergency situation.
The NDMA has recommended that the general population refrain from across flooded rivers and entering waterlogged regions, emphasising the importance of taking appropriate measures to safeguard their well-being.
It is important to note that there was severe rainfall along with high winds in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and other areas of Punjab.
Heavy precipitation in Lahore has alleviated the heatwave in various regions, including as Shadman, Gulberg, Model Town, Jail Road, and Ichhra.
Gujarat and its nearby territories experienced heavy rainfall as well. Substantial rainfall was also observed in Kanganpur and the surrounding areas of Kasur.
Additionally, there were reports of showers in Azad Kamshir on Friday. Regions such as Dadyal, Chakswari, Islamgarh, Khari Sharif, Jatlan, and Mangla saw substantial rainfall.
