The Pakistan Bar Council expresses apprehension regarding Imran Khan’s health while in detention.

The Pakistan Bar Council has voiced significant apprehension regarding the health of former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan, who is now in detention.
The Vice Chairman of the Pakistan Bar Council, Pir Muhammad Masood Chishti, and the Chairman of the Executive Committee, Munir Ahmed Malik, expressed profound concern on Khan’s declining health status.
They asserted that the administration, especially the prison administrator, was not treating the issue with due seriousness. They also observed that no sufficient measures had been implemented by the pertinent authorities or Khan’s family.
The Bar Council implored the federal government to facilitate an urgent medical evaluation of Imran Khan, particularly about his ocular ailments, by the most qualified physicians, even if chosen by Khan himself.
They additionally insisted that he receive the highest quality medical facilities, in accordance with the directions of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
The Pakistan Bar Council stated that the neglect of the former prime minister’s health is a legal and humanitarian issue.
