The president returns home following his visit to Bahrain.

Following a four-day official visit to Bahrain, President Asif Ali Zardari returned to Pakistan on Friday. Bahraini Foreign Minister Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani bid the President farewell at Manama Airport.

Significant advancements were made in bilateral ties, economic cooperation, and issues of shared interest during President Zardari’s visit to Bahrain.

The visit’s objectives were to advance trade and economic cooperation as well as deepen the fraternal ties between Bahrain and Pakistan.

President Zardari met with Interior Minister Lieutenant General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Minister of Finance and National Economy Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa while in Bahrain.

During the visit, President Zardari also received the Sheikh Isa Award. The Pakistani president’s visit to Bahrain brought to light fresh opportunities for bilateral cooperation.
