The prime minister reveals plans to send students to Saudi Arabia for training in AI and IT.

On Thursday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared that Pakistani students would be sent to Saudi Arabia to receive instruction in information technology (IT) and artificial intelligence (AI). The Prime Minister stated that gifted kids are the pride of the country and that their achievement is the product of their parents’ and teachers’ prayers and hard work during the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme 2025 launch event in Islamabad. He underlined that 100,000 computers are being given out solely on the basis of merit and that every resource available will be used for students’ technical training. Shehbaz Sharif clarified that the reason for the program’s delay was that he had ordered the laptop bags’ advertising logos to be taken off. He said that the laptops had cost between 40 and 50 billion rupees. The prime minister mentioned that Saudi Arabia has offered to give Pakistani students free training and is spending billions of dollars in the fields of AI and IT. As a “great and sincere friend,” Saudi Arabia has consistently stood behind millions of Pakistanis, he said. He went on to say that the government would try its best to send thousands of students to Saudi Arabia for contemporary training, and he promised to use every resource at his disposal to support the country’s youth’s education, training, and employment for as long as he is in office. “You must work hard to make Pakistan the great nation envisioned by Allama Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, freeing it from the burden of debt,” Shehbaz Sharif said the students. The Prime Minister gave away computers to students and officially introduced the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme 2025 at the end of the ceremony. Numerous kids and parents attended the ceremony, along with federal ministers Attaullah Tarar and Talal Chaudhry, the chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program Rana Mashhood.
