The core committee of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) expressed apprehension on Wednesday regarding media claims about the health of party founder Imran Khan.

The PTI core committee’s statement indicates that media sources assert the PTI founder was transferred from Adiala Jail to PIMS Hospital and subsequently returned to Adiala Jail, although his family, party leaders, and legal representatives were not apprised of the full procedure.

The core committee has deemed the situation concerning, as no one was apprised of the health status of the PTI founder. The committee insisted that Imran Khan undergo evaluation by physicians at Shaukat Khanum Hospital, cautioning that further delays may result in a request for a peaceful shutter-down strike.

The statement additionally required the provision of clear and comprehensive information concerning the health of the PTI founder, and requested that his family, party leaders, and legal representatives be permitted to visit with him without delay.
