The Punjab government gives CCD permission to combat online and electronic fraud.

The CCD has been given the authority to take action against individuals who steal from people using technological devices and the internet.
The CCD is tasked by the Punjab government with prosecuting organized groups that use electronic gadgets and the internet to deceive the people. In light of the dramatic rise in instances of online and electronic robberies of innocent persons, this decision has been made.
Online fraud causes innocent people to lose their life savings; these crooks are increasingly targeting salaried people and the business community. These criminals even deceive Benazir Income Support Program recipients.
These organizations also engage in brief kidnappings for ransom, but they are frequently not even prosecuted. The CCD will take strong action against these thieves who steal the hard-earned money of the people.
Notably, these crooks have accumulated fortunes worth billions of rupees through their online activities. Additionally, legal action will be taken to seize the assets of organized crime groups engaged in internet fraud.
After the CCD’s recent historic operation against drug dealers proved successful, the Punjab government made this decision.
