The Punjab government has implemented a new system for allocating practical marks in board examinations.

Punjab has implemented a new method for practical marks in board examinations to enhance openness.
The government has revoked the ability of examiners at test centers to grant full marks in board practical examinations.
According to the new policy, practical examination scores will be segmented into two distinct components. The written component of the practical examination will be evaluated immediately via the central marking system of the relevant educational boards.
The examiner at the examination center will be permitted to assign only a restricted number of marks depending on the students’ viva voce and practical performance during the examination.
Authorities announced that the new approach will be initially applied in practical assessments for disciplines such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Science.
Authorities have stated that the policy will be implemented across all school boards in the province to guarantee consistency in the examination procedure.
