The resignation or removal of AJK PM Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has not yet been decided.

The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has not been asked to resign or be removed immediately, according to Federal Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry on Wednesday.

Media allegations that Anwarul Haq was fired in response to recent disturbances in the area are denied by Tariq Fazal Chaudhry.

He added that neither a resignation nor any such action was being considered, and that there was no validity to the rumors that the AJK premier had been removed. He added that there has been no action taken in this respect.

He added that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) will remain in their alliance and commended the PPP for its support of democracy despite the party’s refusal to accept any ministerial seats.
