The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will convene on February 18 to look for the Ramazan moon.

On February 18, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet in Peshawar to look for the moon for the holy month of Ramazan.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has also sent out a notice about zonal committee meetings that would be place in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, and Quetta.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said that the Ramazan moon would be seen on the night of Wednesday, February 18. The holy month of Ramazan is likely to start on February 19.
The PMD’s Climate Data Processing Center said that, based on astronomical calculations, it is very likely that the Ramazan 1447 AH moon will be seen on February 18, which is the 29th of Shaban.
At 5:01 p.m. on February 17, officials stated the new moon would be born. The weather in most of the country is expected to stay clear or partly overcast on February 18, which will make it more likely that people will be able to see.
The department also told people when they should expect to see the moon in different parts of the country: 6:58 PM in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, 7:47 PM in Balochistan, 7:24 PM in Sindh, 7:13 PM in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 7:08 PM in Punjab, and 6:53 PM in Gilgit-Baltistan.
