The Sindh government forbids raising school vehicle fares.

The provincial administration has issued an order that forbids any rise in school van fees throughout the province, per the orders of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.

The School Education Department has sent out an official notification to all public and private schools, instructing them to firmly uphold the current transportation fees, per the chief minister’s directives. The action is intended to shield parents from more financial strain in light of growing fuel prices.

The notification states that pick-and-drop fees cannot be raised by private schools or parent-run transportation services. Authorities stressed that in order to guarantee affordability for students and their families, transportation fees must not change despite the rise in fuel prices.

In order to balance operational difficulties and avoid fare increases, the government has also made the decision to assist transportation operators. Every educational establishment has been directed to guarantee complete adherence.

Both privately run services and transportation systems run by schools are covered by the order. Schools have been requested to submit comprehensive information about their student transportation services, including van and route details.

The letter further cautioned that the government must get all information pertaining to transportation, and that institutions that disobey the instruction risk severe consequences. The program demonstrates the government’s dedication to reducing financial strain on families while preserving control over school transportation operations.
