Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, stated on Friday that the state welcomes individuals who renounce violence in Balochistan; but, measures would be implemented against those intent on perpetrating murder and devastation.

During a press conference in Quetta, Sarfraz Bugti announced that the malicious intentions of terrorists in Kharan had been successfully thwarted. He stated that terrorists are currently targeting banks, and owing to the prompt intervention of security personnel, four terrorists were neutralized on-site, while an additional eight were eliminated with the assistance of local intelligence, resulting in a total of 12 terrorists dead.

He reported that Colonel Wadan and Major Asim sustained injuries during the operation. The terrorists infiltrated Kharan to plunder the finances of the Baloch populace. A civilian sustained injuries in the event and was promptly transported to the hospital by security forces, where he is receiving complimentary treatment.

He inquired about the mindset under which regular Baloch individuals are being frightened, while the terrorists themselves go to banks to steal from these same individuals.

He stated that the inhabitants of Balochistan are appreciative of the sacrifices made by the security forces and martyrs, who gave their life for the defense of the nation and its citizens.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the reaction process is now transparent to the public; whenever terrorists engage in actions, they will receive a stringent response, and the offenders will be held accountable.

Mir Sarfraz Bugti stated that in 2025, 900 hardcore terrorists were eliminated during intelligence-based operations (IBO), while a robust campaign against terrorism continues with both technology and human intelligence.

He stated that since August 2025, the incidence of terrorism has markedly diminished, and no major highway in Balochistan has been stopped for even seven minutes.

The Chief Minister stated that selections in his administration are conducted solely based on merit, with transparent recruitments also implemented in the Balochistan Constabulary, while governance, development, and security are being advanced concurrently.
