The UK and Pakistan agree to deepen their bilateral relations.

On the fringes of a meeting of the United Nations Security Council, UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper met with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.

Dar expressed gratitude to the British foreign secretary for calling such a crucial conference on Palestine. The Foreign Office spokeswoman stated that the two leaders reviewed Pakistan-UK bilateral relations in depth and decided to increase collaboration in a number of areas.

Both parties emphasized how crucial it is to sustain high-level engagements and encourage people-to-people contacts. Additionally, they decided to keep up their efficient coordination at the UN platform.

Ishaq Dar also spoke with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov over the phone.

According to the Foreign Office, the two presidents talked about issues of mutual interest, bilateral cooperation, and shared opinions on regional and international events. There was also talk of the Board of Peace meeting in Washington.

On all matters of shared interest, the two foreign ministers decided to stay in constant communication.
