The UN chief condemns the Islamabad suicide attack and offers the families of the dead his sympathies.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called for the prosecution of those responsible for Tuesday’s fatal suicide bombing in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.
Deputy Spokesperson Farhan Aziz Haq responded to a question during the regular noon briefing at UN Headquarters in New York by saying, “The Secretary-General is deeply saddened by the reported suicide attack, and he extends his condolences to the families of the victims and wishes a full recovery to those injured.”
The spokeswoman reiterated that all terrorists must be held accountable and stated, “The Secretary-General condemns acts of violence and terrorism in the strongest terms.”
The attack, which occurred outside the district and sessions court building in Islamabad’s G-11 area and left 12 people dead and 36 injured, prompted the UN head to call for a thorough inquiry.
