The US embassy in Oslo is damaged by an explosion that produces dense smoke and little damage.

According to Norwegian police, a loud explosion early on Sunday damaged the US embassy in Oslo but did not injure anyone.
Witnesses reported seeing smoke rising from the area and hearing the explosion from the embassy premises in western Oslo at around one in the morning (0000 GMT).Sebastian Toerstad, an 18-year-old high school student who drove past the embassy at the time of the event, said, “There was a very thick layer of smoke on the street.”The entrance has minor damage, Toerstad told Reuters.
According to Oslo police, the explosion happened at the consulate section’s entrance.
Later, two white-overall-clad police technicians were spotted at the scene.
According to the authorities, no other explosive devices had been discovered nearby.With the use of dogs, drones, and a helicopter, investigations have been conducted at the location in an effort to find one or more possible offenders, the Oslo police department stated in a statement.
A request for comment made outside of regular business hours was not immediately answered by the embassy.
