To get rid of extra positions, the Punjab government forms a right-sizing committee.

To get rid of excess positions in government agencies, the Punjab government formed a right-sizing commission on Thursday.
A notification regarding the creation of the right-sizing committee has been released by the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD). The committee will examine surplus and superfluous positions in different departments and pinpoint roles where daily workload has dropped.
It will be suggested that superfluous positions be eliminated, merged, or transferred. Additionally, the committee will suggest ways to enhance departmental processes and systems. Ahmed Raza Sarwar, the additional chief secretary, has been designated as the right-sizing committee convener.
According to the Punjab government, right-sizing would be used to cut government spending.
