Today is Sowar Muhammad Hussain’s 54th anniversary of martyrdom.

Today, Wednesday, marks the 54th anniversary of Sowar Muhammad Hussain Shaheed’s martyrdom in Nishan-e-Haider (NH).
On June 18, 1949, Sowar Muhammad Hussain was born in Dhok Pir Bakhsh, which is today known as Dhok Muhammad Hussain Janjua. He joined the Pakistan Army on September 3, 1966, as a driver, and after receiving training, he joined the 20 Lancers.
During the 1971 conflict in the Zafarwal-Shakargarh Sector, Sowar Muhammad Hussain’s daring deeds caused the enemy to suffer significant losses.
Sowar Muhammad Hussain actively participated in every fight with the battalion during the 1971 war. He saw the enemy tanks near the town of Harar Khurd, near a minefield. Sixteen enemy tanks were destroyed as a result of his self-initiated, precise recoilless weapon firing.
