Today, the Christian community is celebrating Easter with great fervour.

Today (Sunday), Christians in Pakistan and throughout the world are commemorating Easter with religious devotion and customary rituals.

Christians have congregated in churches for special prayer sessions to commemorate the event with reverence and faith.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari sent their warm regards to the Christian community on this particular occasion.

The president stated in his speech that Easter offers a potent message of salvation, compassion, hope, rebirth, and the victory of good over evil. He added that Christians are respected and treasured members of Pakistani society and praised the important contributions made by the Christian community, citing their services in hospitals, schools, government agencies, and the military.

In the meantime, the prime minister expressed optimism that the happy event would bring wealth, peace, and stability to the nation, the Christian community, and the entire world. He underlined that all religions’ lessons of peace have become even more crucial in the difficult world we live in today.

He reiterated that protecting the economic, religious, and educational rights of all citizens—especially minorities—is a top priority for the government.
