Today’s new monsoon system will bring rainfall to the entire country.
Rainfall is expected to resume this evening and continue till September 4 due to a moist stream from the Bay of Bengal.
Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Potohar area, Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujrat, and other districts of Punjab may experience light rainfall due to the new weather system, according to the Met Office.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, on September 2 and 3, the westerly wave will alleviate the severe rains in the divisions of Malakand, Hazara, and Peshawar.
With sporadic breaks, rain, wind, and thundershowers are expected in Kalat, Quetta, and other regions of Balochistan from now till September 4.
There will be sporadic rain on September 3 and 4, falling in the South Punjad districts of Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Layyah, Rajanpur, and Rahim Yar Khan.
With sporadic breaks, rain is also predicted for Sukkur, Larkana, Khairpur, Dadu, Jacobabad, Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tharparkar, Mithi, Mirpur Khas, Umarkot, and Sanghar in Sindh on September 3 and 4.
In Murree, Galliyat, KP, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Northeast Punjab, Kalat, Khuzdar, Barkhan in Balochistan, Kirthar range in Sindh, and Northeast Punjab, increased flow in local nullas and streams may result from heavy rainfall, as well as urban flooding in cities.
