Two travelers with forged visas are detained by the FIA at the Karachi airport.
Following the discovery that their passports included phony Iraqi visas, the suspects—who were identified as Shamsuddin from Attock and Muhammad Yaqub from Rajanpur—were detained.
The fake travel documents were obtained by both people from agents for more than Rs 300,000 each, according per the FIA.
Additional inquiries are being conducted in parallel with the arrests, which were undertaken as part of an ongoing campaign to stop illicit travel activities at the airport.
A human trafficker operating out of Jinnah International Airport in Karachi was apprehended by FIA – Immigration last month for shipping Pakistanis abroad illegally.
The accused agent, Sajid Mahmood, was sought after in relation to a human smuggling case involving Gujarat, an immigration official for the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) stated. Jinnah International Airport caught him when he tried to escape to Azerbaijan.
The suspect was removed from his planned trip by Interpol, who then brought him into prison. For additional investigation, Interpol is currently supervising the suspect.
