Under the new property code, the Punjab government settles 1,005 land issues in just two days.

Under the recently implemented property code, the Punjab government has established a new record by successfully resolving 1,005 land disputes in just 48 hours.
Over 1,000 families who had been involved in protracted legal disputes over land ownership have finally received justice thanks to our prompt action.
This development followed a crucial meeting presided over by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, when Revenue Department representatives gave a thorough briefing on how the new law will be implemented.
The chief minister stressed during the meeting that cases pertaining to women’s land rights will receive high priority. She made it clear that there would be no room for delays, partiality, or carelessness after a decision was made, and that possession would be transferred right away.
Only when the legitimate owner physically occupies the land does ownership become complete. “Decisions must be visible on the ground and not just on paper,” she said.
“Whether it be a mere marla, kanal, or acre,” she added, the legitimate owners will have the only right to their land.
Additionally, CM Maryam asked people to contact their local Deputy Commissioner’s office right once if their land or property is being occupied illegally. She promised that these matters will be settled in a few short days.
