US Consulate protest: 36 injured, 9 dead arrived, Civil Hospital says

KARACHI: According to a report on Sunday, nine dead bodies from the US Consulate protest were moved to Civil Hospital.
According to the hospital’s report, “45 people were transferred to the civil hospital overall.”
Kazim, Mubarak, Kazim Abbas, Adeel, Sajid Ali, Khawar Abbas, Muhammad Ali, and an unidentified individual were among the deceased, according to the report.
According to the hospital’s trauma center, “36 injured were also brought to the hospital after firing.”
The report states that “the deceased and injured were between the ages of 18 and 50 years and they sustained bullet wounds in firing.”
According to an earlier report eight people were killed and several got injured as protests erupted outside the United States Consulate shortly after news spread of the reported assassination of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in US-Israel strike on Iran, rescue sources said.
In Karachi, a sizable crowd of demonstrators gathered outside the consulate, yelling slogans and making an effort to approach the structure.
Police attempted to disperse the throng by using baton charges and tear gas. When some demonstrators apparently burst through the main gate and invaded the consulate’s outer grounds, the situation worsened.
