Zardari encourages unity in the face of national issues while chairing a PPP gathering in Lahore.

At Bilawal House in Lahore on Tuesday, President Asif Ali Zardari presided over a gathering of the local and provincial leadership of the Pakistan Peoples Party. The agenda included internal party matters as well as the nation’s general political and economic circumstances.

According to a news release from the President Secretariat Media Wing, the meeting was attended by the party’s divisional and district presidents, PPP Central Punjab Executive Committee members, and recently appointed office-bearers of the Central Punjab districts.

In his speech, the president emphasized the value of political communication and unity and claimed that the only way to achieve justice, national unity, and advancement was through democratic engagement.

He also emphasized the importance of tenacity in constructive politics and public service.

The president noted that Pakistan was dealing with political and economic constraints, and that party members and leadership needed to be patient and persistent in their efforts to overcome these obstacles.

The president noted that promoting economic stability and bolstering agriculture are essential for the country’s development and urged sustained attention to these areas. He emphasized that the PPP is still dedicated to its core values and the heritage of its legendary leadership.

Talking about national security, President Zardari said that national sovereignty, integrity and security of Pakistan have always been the cornerstone of the party.
